Fundación Castañón was born from the work of Dr. Ricardo Castañón Moreno, a pioneer of ophthalmology in San Luis Potosí. Trained at the prestigious Barraquer Institute in Barcelona, Spain, he brought advanced surgical techniques and international technology that set new standards for eye care in the region.
That standard — serious training, modern technology, and human warmth — became the institution's hallmark and the foundation on which all of our specialties grow today.

Today Fundación Castañón operates six active areas — Ophthalmology, Nutrition, Clinical Laboratory, advanced Rehabilitation (Neurem), Outpatient Surgery, and OCCHIO optical — and is developing seven more: Orthopedics, Internal Medicine, Imaging, Urology, Psychology, Advanced Dentistry, and Regenerative Medicine.
